Markets Stay Bullish as VIX Falls

Markets are heading toward a relatively quiet Wednesday open, with stock index futures below fair value and no major economic numbers scheduled. The VIX continued to decline Tuesday, reinforcing the current bullish tone, while the key 21.88 VIX level remains important for identifying a broader market sell-off. Technology continues to lead, with the NASDAQ approaching its 750 price target, while healthcare and biotechnology also showed strength.

Several important signals emerged across individual markets. The Vanguard Canada ETF returned to a buy signal, major gold ETFs and several gold stocks generated new buy signals, while crude oil remains on a sell signal despite gasoline and natural gas moving higher. Apple reached its next price target, with $343.75 now an important level to watch. Overall, the market trend remains constructive, but traders should closely monitor the VIX, technology stocks, commodities and key price targets for signs of a change in direction.
